K.P. Energy Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Emmvee Energy Private Limited to develop a 42 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Karnataka under the Group Captive model. The project comprises 21 MW of wind capacity and 21 MWp of solar capacity.
The project is planned to meet the captive power requirements of Emmvee Energy’s manufacturing facilities in Karnataka. The LOI marks K.P. Energy’s first project in the state and represents an important step in the company’s geographical expansion beyond its core markets.
The development also strengthens K.P. Energy’s presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) and Group Captive renewable energy segments. The company said the project will reinforce its position as a renewable energy partner while expanding its portfolio of hybrid power solutions.
As the project is currently covered by an LOI, the execution timeline will be finalised through a definitive agreement between the parties. The order has been awarded by Emmvee Energy, a domestic entity, and the company has stated that there is no promoter interest or related-party transaction associated with the award.
The Karnataka project adds to K.P. Energy’s growing renewable energy pipeline and highlights the increasing adoption of wind-solar hybrid solutions for captive industrial power requirements.
