Tata Power Solaroof has crossed 5.19 lakh rooftop solar installations across India, strengthening its position in the country’s rapidly expanding distributed renewable energy market. The company, part of Tata Power Renewable Energy, completed 5,19,673 installations as of July 31, 2026, representing a 14 percent market share.

The milestone highlights the growing adoption of rooftop solar among residential, commercial and industrial consumers seeking to reduce electricity costs and increase energy independence. Tata Power Solaroof has set an ambitious target of reaching 30 lakh rooftop solar installations by 2029.

The company has built a nationwide ecosystem comprising more than 700 channel partners and over 250 authorised service partners. This network supports customers across consultation, system design, installation, commissioning and after-sales services.

Tata Power Solaroof has also expanded its financing ecosystem, facilitating more than ₹8,500 crore in financing through over 25 financing partners. Its financing initiatives are designed to address upfront investment challenges and make rooftop solar more accessible to households and businesses.

Under its Ghar Ghar Solar initiative, aligned with the objectives of the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, Tata Power Solaroof is working to accelerate rooftop solar adoption across multiple states and a Union Territory.

The company is also expanding beyond rooftop solar by integrating battery energy storage solutions. Its portfolio includes residential storage systems ranging from 5 kWh to 40 kWh and commercial and industrial solutions from 60 kWh to 5 MWh.

With continued investments in rooftop solar, financing, service infrastructure and battery storage, Tata Power Solaroof is positioning itself to support India’s transition towards a more decentralised and resilient clean energy ecosystem.
