Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd., a leading manufacturer of energy-efficient water pumps and motors, has secured an order worth ₹235.92 crore, including GST, from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).
Under the order, Shakti Pumps will supply, install and commission 10,000 off-grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems across Maharashtra. The systems will be deployed under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana (MTSKPY) to support solar-powered agricultural irrigation.
The order covers solar water pumping systems with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP. The order value excluding GST stands at ₹216.64 crore, with the project scheduled for execution within 60 days.
