Advait Battery Ecosystem Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions Ltd. and part of Advait Group, has signed a Master Supply Agreement with HiTHIUM for the supply of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cells. The agreement provides for cell offtake of up to 1 GWh over the next year, supporting Advait’s plans to scale its domestic battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing operations.
The cell supply agreement is linked to Advait Gangad’s upcoming 2.5 GWh annual-capacity cell-to-container BESS assembly facility. HiTHIUM will supply 314 Ah LFP prismatic cells, providing Advait with a high-volume cell supply for its planned BESS assembly operations.
The upcoming facility is being developed to support utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and renewable energy integration applications. Advait’s manufacturing capabilities are planned to cover module and pack assembly, container integration and system commissioning, forming part of the company’s strategy to establish an integrated domestic BESS manufacturing ecosystem.
According to Advait, dependable cell sourcing will be an important part of scaling its 2.5 GWh BESS assembly capacity and delivering energy storage solutions across India. The company is also building its broader BESS capabilities through partnerships covering engineering design, Energy Management System architecture, PLC/SCADA and system integration.
The collaboration with HiTHIUM follows Advait Battery Ecosystem’s strategic partnership with Adaptive Engineering and represents another step in developing its domestic battery energy storage supply chain.
