Bondada Engineering Ltd., through its joint venture with BEST Infra, has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) worth ₹41.01 crore from the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TG NPDCL) for a smart energy metering project in the state.
Under the project, the joint venture will deploy 40,000 smart energy meters, comprising 12,500 single-phase meters and 27,500 three-phase meters across Telangana.
The scope of the project includes the procurement, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of smart energy meters. It also covers operations and maintenance (O&M), PP Box maintenance and associated network operations and monitoring.
The project will use cloud-based digital infrastructure, including a Head-End System (HES), Meter Data Acquisition System (MDAS) and Meter Data Management System (MDMS) to support meter data collection, management and monitoring.
According to the company, the project is scheduled to be completed within 11 months from the date of execution of the Purchase Order (PO).
Bondada Engineering said the project is strategically aligned with the product portfolio handled by its subsidiary, Bondada E&E. The execution will leverage the subsidiary’s expertise, resources and operational capabilities.
The order strengthens Bondada Engineering’s presence in the smart metering segment and adds to the deployment of digital metering infrastructure for power distribution utilities in Telangana.
