Alfanar Power has signed a 100 MW Wind Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), strengthening its renewable energy portfolio in India and supporting Gujarat’s clean energy ambitions.
The agreement was signed by Mohammed Irfan, CEO, Alfanar Power. The PPA is aimed at supporting the development of additional wind power capacity and supplying sustainable and reliable electricity to Gujarat.
The latest agreement adds to Alfanar Power’s growing renewable energy presence in India. The company currently has more than 500 MW of operational renewable energy assets in the country, with an additional 50 MW under construction.
Alfanar Power had also emerged as one of the successful bidders in GUVNL’s wind power tender, securing 100 MW at a tariff of ₹3.43 per kWh. Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission documents record the company’s acceptance of the Letter of Intent issued by GUVNL for the 100 MW wind project.
The company said the PPA reinforces its commitment to developing sustainable and reliable power solutions while contributing to India’s transition towards a cleaner and more resilient energy system.
The agreement further strengthens the partnership between Alfanar Power and GUVNL as Gujarat continues to expand its renewable energy capacity and integrate wind power into its clean energy mix.
