ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned Phase-I of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) component of its Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in Rajasthan.

The commissioned BESS has a capacity of 53.63 MW / 300 MWh and is located at Village Kelan, Tehsil Chhatargarh, in Bikaner district. The project has been commissioned through ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings.

The Phase-I BESS was commissioned on September 14, 2026, and its Commercial Operation Date (COD) is scheduled for September 16, 2026.

The BESS forms part of a larger 300 MW / 1,581 MWh FDRE project being developed by the company. At present, only the BESS component has been commissioned, while the corresponding renewable energy generation component of the project remains under development.

The commissioning adds to ACME Solar’s growing portfolio of energy storage projects and supports the company’s focus on developing firm and dispatchable renewable power capacity in India.
