Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has finalised the winners of its 2,000 MW/4,000 MWh BESS auction, with tariffs ranging from ₹2.38 lakh to ₹2.40 lakh/MW/month.
Key allocations include:
- Oriana Power: 900 MW
- BSL Engineering Service: 300 MW
- ArMee Infotech: 250 MW
- GK Energy: 150 MW
- Stockwell Solar Services: 150 MW
- Claro Energy: 100 MW
- Jailaxmi Sugar Products: 50 MW
- Aditya Green Energy: 40 MW
- Kotecha Sales, Rudraksha Power & Gurutara Green Energy: 20 MW each
The projects will operate under 15-year Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreements (BESPAs) and are eligible for Viability Gap Funding of up to ₹18 lakh/MW. Developers must maintain at least 95% annual system availability and 85% monthly AC-to-AC round-trip efficiency.
For GK Energy, the 150 MW/300 MWh award marks its entry into the BESS segment.
