Bajel Projects Partners with NIIF in 14 GW Renewable Energy Transmission Initiative
PFC Consulting Limited has formally transferred Lakadia A Power Transmission Limited, the project special purpose vehicle (SPV), to AnantGrid Projects One Pvt. Ltd. (AGPOPL), jointly owned by Bajel Projects Limited (26%) and the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) (74%).
Declared the successful bidder in August 2026, AGPOPL will undertake the interstate transmission scheme covering renewable power evacuation from Lakadia Phase II (7.5 GW), Jam Khambhaliya Phase II (5.5 GW) and Jamnagar Phase I (1 GW) under Part A.
The project includes approximately 270 km of 765 kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Halvad and Vadodara in Gujarat, along with additional works at the Halvad, Vadodara and South Olpad substations.
The wider transmission network is designed to facilitate the evacuation of 14 GW of renewable energy. The partnership combines NIIF’s investment and asset management capabilities, AnantGrid’s project development expertise and Bajel Projects’ engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities.
The transfer marks a key milestone in the project’s transition from award to execution, supporting the development of critical transmission infrastructure for India’s renewable energy ambitions.
