REMONDIS Aqua India has secured the UPW-ETP-ZLD package for Celloraa Energy’s upcoming 1.2 GW photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturing facility in Surat, Gujarat.

The project will support the facility’s water management requirements through an integrated solution delivered by REMONDIS Aqua India in association with CN Water – UPW, a specialist in ultra-pure water generation for high-tech industrial applications.

The package covers an integrated Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) system, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system.

Key highlights of the project include:

Integrated WTP-UPW-ETP-ZLD infrastructure.

Advanced treatment technology to ensure consistent ultra-pure water quality.

Customized effluent treatment for complex solar PV manufacturing wastewater.

Optimized water recovery and circular water management.

Fully automated plant with comprehensive online monitoring.

Focus on reducing operational costs.

The project highlights the growing importance of sustainable water management as India’s solar manufacturing capacity expands. Efficient water treatment, recycling, and recovery systems can help reduce industrial water consumption and support more sustainable manufacturing operations.

REMONDIS Aqua India acknowledged Celloraa Energy for the opportunity and thanked its partners and project team for their contribution to the project.
