Enfinity Global Commissions 28 MW C&I Solar Power Plant in Karnataka

Mundargi, Karnataka: Enfinity Global has commissioned a 28 MW DC solar power plant in Mundargi, Karnataka, strengthening renewable power supply for commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers in the state. The project is now operational and will supply clean electricity to C&I customers, including data-centre operator CtrlS Datacenters Bangalore.

The plant has been developed to support the growing electricity requirements of energy-intensive businesses. CtrlS Datacenters Bangalore will draw 5 MW of power from the project to support its operations, while the remaining capacity will serve other C&I consumers.

A key feature of the project is its rapid execution. Enfinity Global commissioned the plant in approximately 100 days from the signing of the final Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The project was executed on an EPC basis by InSolare Energy.

The commissioning comes as renewable energy procurement through PPAs gains importance among commercial and industrial consumers seeking reliable, competitively priced and lower-carbon electricity. Data centres, in particular, are emerging as significant renewable energy buyers due to their high and growing electricity demand.

The project also adds to Enfinity Global’s renewable energy footprint in India. The company currently lists 240 MW of operational assets in India, along with projects under construction and development across the country.
