Ceigall India Ltd has commissioned another 5 MW solar power plant at Ranjangaon Deshmukh in Kopargaon taluka of Ahilyanagar district, Maharashtra, through its wholly owned subsidiary Ceigall Green Energy MH2 Ltd.
With the latest commissioning, the subsidiary’s operational solar capacity at the site has increased to 10 MW. The first 5 MW unit at the location was commissioned ahead of schedule, making the project eligible for an early-commissioning incentive under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0).
The commissioned 10 MW capacity is connected to the 33/11 kV Ranjangaon substation of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL), with the generated power being supplied to MSEDCL.
The project is part of an aggregate 147 MW solar power project being developed and executed by Ceigall Green Energy MH2 under MSKVY 2.0, a Maharashtra government initiative focused on strengthening decentralised daytime solar power supply to agricultural feeders across the state.
Ceigall India Chairman and Managing Director Ramneek Sehgal said the commissioning of the additional 5 MW capacity ahead of schedule reflects the company’s execution capabilities and supports its growing presence in the renewable energy sector.
The latest project milestone adds to Ceigall India’s renewable energy portfolio while contributing to Maharashtra’s efforts to expand decentralised solar generation for agricultural power requirements.
