KIS Group and Paras Dairy have signed an MoU to jointly develop 10 BioCNG plants across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and other states, with an estimated investment of around ₹1,000 crore.
Under the partnership, KIS Group will manage the technology, construction and operations, while Paras Dairy will support feedstock arrangements, land and approvals. The companies also plan to establish a joint venture for the projects.
The first plant is targeted to become operational by Q4 2027, with the complete project pipeline expected to be developed by 2029. Each plant is expected to replace around 8–10 metric tonnes of natural gas per day and generate approximately 40,000–50,000 carbon credits annually.
The projects will utilise cattle dung and agricultural residues such as paddy straw, wheat straw, maize waste and vegetable waste, while also producing BioCO₂ and organic fertilisers as by-products.
