Refex Green Power Limited, part of the Refex Group and headquartered in Tamil Nadu, has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from SJVN Limited to develop an 80 MW wind power project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
The project will be developed under a long-term power purchase agreement with SJVN, with a tariff of ₹3.88 per kWh and a PPA tenure of 25 years. Refex Green Power is expected to commission and supply power from the project within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA.
The award marks another step in Refex Green Power’s expansion into utility-scale renewable energy projects. With a focus on sustainable power generation and renewable energy infrastructure, the company is strengthening its presence in India’s rapidly growing clean energy sector.
The 80 MW wind project in Kurnool will contribute to increasing India’s installed wind power capacity while supporting the country’s broader renewable energy transition. Andhra Pradesh continues to emerge as an important destination for renewable energy development due to its favourable wind resources and growing clean energy infrastructure.
SJVN’s continued procurement of renewable power also reflects the increasing demand for long-term clean energy projects in India. The partnership with Refex Green Power adds to the momentum behind utility-scale wind development and supports the integration of renewable energy into the country’s power mix.
With wind power remaining a key pillar of India’s clean energy expansion, projects such as this are expected to play an important role in advancing the country’s renewable energy goals and reducing dependence on conventional power sources.
