SJVN Limited has issued a retender for the development of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects under its Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) framework.
The initiative invites participation from Battery Energy Storage System Developers (BESSDs) for developing, owning, and operating storage projects on a Build-Own-Operate basis.
The tender includes VGF-supported BESS capacities, including:
🔹 250 MW/500 MWh BESS project
🔹 15 MW/30 MWh BESS project
The selected projects will support grid stability, renewable energy integration, and peak power management, strengthening India’s transition towards a reliable and flexible clean energy ecosystem.
