Gujarat Inject (Kerala) Limited (GIKL) has entered into a strategic business partnership with England-based Storenergy Limited to explore opportunities in the Renewable Energy Storage Technology (REST) segment in India.
Under the partnership, both companies will work together to identify, evaluate and develop potential energy-storage opportunities in the Indian market. The collaboration is expected to enable GIKL to expand its presence in the growing renewable energy storage segment and explore new clean-energy business opportunities.
Commenting on the development, Murli Shivshankaran Nair, Managing Director of Gujarat Inject (Kerala), said the partnership will provide an opportunity to explore the renewable energy storage system segment in a focused manner and build a stronger presence in this emerging market.
The agreement provides a framework for future collaboration between the two companies. Commercial terms for individual projects or opportunities will be finalised at a later stage, and the transaction is not classified as a related-party transaction.
The partnership comes as energy storage gains importance in India’s clean-energy transition, with storage technologies increasingly being considered to improve energy management and support greater integration of renewable power.
