India: Rhetan TMT Limited has successfully completed the testing and commissioning of its 1 MW (AC) captive ground-mounted solar power project, achieving operational readiness. Commercial power generation is expected to begin shortly after completion of the remaining operational formalities.
The captive solar project is expected to support the company’s manufacturing operations by providing a stable and cost-efficient power source. With power costs accounting for approximately 20% of the company’s overall cost base, the project is expected to improve operational efficiency, cost competitiveness, and sustainability.
