Solis Storage has marked a significant milestone in India’s commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage market with the first installation of its EverCore Energy Storage System in the country.
The flagship project has been deployed at a leading software data center in Chennai, combining rooftop solar generation with battery energy storage to support reliable and sustainable 24/7 operations.
The installation includes 870 kW of rooftop solar PV, 500 kW AC power and 1.044 MWh of Solis EverCore energy storage. The system comprises four 261 kWh EverCore ESS units operating in parallel, supported by four Solis S6-EH3P125K10-NV-YD-H hybrid inverters.
The integrated solar-plus-storage system is designed to reduce dependence on diesel generators while providing reliable backup power during peak demand. It can also help lower operating costs and improve energy management for high-demand commercial facilities.
Solis’ EverCore platform integrates battery storage, hybrid inverters and energy management capabilities into an integrated C&I energy storage solution. The current EverCore range includes systems from around 100 kWh to 261 kWh, with configurations designed for commercial and industrial applications.
The Chennai deployment highlights the growing role of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in India’s commercial infrastructure, particularly for data centers where power reliability, backup capability and energy efficiency are critical.
As India’s data center and digital infrastructure sectors continue to expand, the combination of rooftop solar + BESS + intelligent energy management could become increasingly important for reducing grid dependence, managing peak loads and supporting lower-carbon operations.
