Arkannect Launches Made-in-India Hybrid Inverters and Battery Storage, Targets ₹225 Crore Revenue in Year One

Arkannect, the distributed solar platform and subsidiary of AB Energia, today announced the launch of its initial portfolio of hybrid inverter and battery storage solutions for residential customers and small businesses. The offering comprises a 3 kW hybrid inverter and a 5.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, with the battery assembled in India using imported cells. The portfolio is designed to support integrated rooftop solar and energy storage requirements.

The products will initially target customers across Maharashtra, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, with commercial availability expected shortly. Through this offering, Arkannect aims to simplify rooftop solar adoption by bringing solar energy management and battery storage together, supported by an app-based customer interface.

As households and small businesses increasingly explore rooftop solar, energy storage can help address the challenge of using solar power beyond daylight hours. Battery storage enables consumers to store electricity generated by their solar systems for use when generation is low or demand continues, depending on system configuration and battery capacity. This can be particularly relevant for customers seeking greater flexibility in managing their energy requirements.

Arkannect’s initial portfolio comprises a 3 kW hybrid inverter and a 5.12 kWh LFP battery. The battery comes with a 10-year warranty and an expected life of approximately 6,000 cycles, offering customers a storage solution designed for long-term use.

Beyond the products, Arkannect will support customers through an integrated service model covering installation, financing and maintenance. Its app-based platform is designed to simplify the customer journey, while its focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets aims to make rooftop solar and storage solutions more accessible to households and small businesses. The company also offers performance assurance for its solutions.

Arkannect is targeting growth in India’s distributed solar market through its product portfolio and customer-focused service model. The company’s stated business ambitions include a revenue target of ₹225 crore in the first year and ₹1,000 crore over three years, alongside plans to reach 15,000 households.

Commenting on the launch, Sagar Saxena, Chief Executive Officer, Arkannect, said, “For rooftop solar to become a more accessible energy solution, customers need greater flexibility in how they use the power they generate. Energy storage can play an important role in helping households and small businesses make better use of solar power, particularly when generation and consumption do not coincide. Through Arkannect, we aim to simplify this transition by bringing integrated solar and storage solutions together with installation, financing and ongoing maintenance support. Our focus is on making the shift to solar easier for customers and building greater confidence in the experience beyond installation.”
