Energy In Motion Limited (EIM), an associate company of Ravindra Energy, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oil Field Warehouse & Services Limited (OWS) and Radiance Green Mobility Private Limited to deploy 500 electric heavy commercial vehicles (e-HCVs) across key freight corridors in India.
The partnership will focus on three major freight routes — Mumbai–Pune, Mundra–Morbi–Ahmedabad and Mumbai–Delhi. The initial deployment is scheduled to begin in October 2026 with 50 electric heavy vehicles on the Mumbai–Pune corridor, with the fleet expected to scale as EIM expands its battery-swapping network across the identified routes.
Under the partnership, EIM will provide its integrated electric mobility ecosystem, including electric heavy vehicles, battery-swapping systems, charging infrastructure and energy-management solutions. OWS and Radiance Green Mobility will support commercial fleet deployment and operations.
The deployment will use EIM’s Ashwa 55-ton electric tractor, while the company has also completed homologation of a 350-kWh battery variant. The battery-swapping ecosystem is designed to enable faster vehicle turnaround for high-utilisation freight operations.
The collaboration aims to accelerate the shift from diesel-powered freight transportation to electric mobility while improving operational efficiency, reducing emissions and providing greater predictability in energy costs.
The initiative marks a significant step towards scaling electric heavy-duty transportation beyond pilot projects and developing dedicated electrified freight corridors in India.
