Envision Energy India Private Limited has inaugurated a new 2.66 GW-per-year wind turbine blade manufacturing facility at Bavla in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, strengthening the company’s manufacturing presence and adding capacity to India’s growing wind-energy supply chain.

The facility is designed to manufacture advanced wind turbine blades of up to 100 metres in length and incorporates smart manufacturing technologies. The new plant forms part of Envision Energy’s broader ₹500 crore expansion programme in India and marks the company’s third manufacturing site in the country.

The new manufacturing unit is expected to support the domestic production of large wind turbine components as India continues to expand its renewable energy capacity. By increasing local manufacturing capabilities, the facility can contribute to a more robust supply chain for large-scale wind projects and advanced turbine platforms.

According to the company, the facility has the potential to create more than 4,000 direct employment opportunities and over 15,000 additional jobs across the wider ecosystem over time.

The ability to manufacture blades approaching 100 metres in length is significant as the wind industry increasingly adopts larger turbine platforms. Longer blades can enable turbines to capture more wind energy, supporting efforts to improve project generation potential and optimise wind resources.

With the commissioning of the Bavla facility, Envision Energy is further expanding its manufacturing footprint in India while contributing to the localisation of advanced wind-energy equipment and components.

Key numbers include 2.66 GW of annual blade manufacturing capacity, blades of up to 100 metres, a ₹500 crore India expansion programme and more than 4,000 potential direct jobs.

The facility is located at Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
