Frontier Energies Pvt. Ltd. has announced a strategic move into a landmark rooftop solar project being implemented through a dedicated Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under a Power Purchase Agreement with the Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway.

As part of the proposed transaction, Frontier Energies will participate as the majority equity partner, marking a significant expansion of its role in renewable-energy project development.

Strategic Partnership

Frontier Energies is partnering with Aegis Renewable Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which will serve as the Solar Power Developer for the project.

Under the proposed structure, Frontier Energies will contribute across three key areas:

  • Project funding
  • Equity participation
  • Solar module supply

The partnership is aimed at developing a long-term renewable-energy asset while combining financial participation with solar technology and project-execution capabilities.

Key Highlights

☀️ Majority equity participation by Frontier Energies
🏗️ Project being developed through a dedicated SPV
🚆 Sealdah Division, Eastern Railway as the PPA counterpart

The proposed project reflects the growing adoption of rooftop solar within large institutional and public-sector infrastructure, while highlighting the role of private capital and strategic partnerships in expanding India’s renewable-energy capacity.

For Frontier Energies, the initiative represents another step toward building a portfolio of scalable, long-term renewable-energy assets backed by strong partnerships, reliable technology and disciplined project execution.

The development also underscores the broader opportunity for renewable-energy companies to participate beyond equipment supply and take a more integrated role across project financing, ownership, development and execution.
