Juniper Green Energy Commissions Additional 100 MWh BESS Capacity in Rajasthan

Juniper Green Energy has commissioned an additional 100 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at its Bikaner-II project in Rajasthan, taking the project’s total commissioned storage capacity to 201 MWh.

The additional capacity has been commissioned through its wholly owned subsidiary, Juniper Green Cosmic Private Limited, using the project’s existing grid connectivity. The move follows regulatory clarity allowing additional storage capacity without increasing the existing grid connectivity quantum.

The newly commissioned BESS capacity will initially operate on a merchant basis, enabling Juniper Green Energy to participate in opportunities related to energy flexibility, grid balancing and power-market services.

With the latest addition, Juniper Green Energy’s operational portfolio stands at approximately 2.7 GWp of renewable capacity and around 600 MWh of BESS.
