Juniper Green Energy Limited has emerged as the winning bidder for a 230 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) 1,000 MW Round-the-Clock (RTC) Renewable Energy tender.
The company secured the project at a tariff of ₹5.26 per unit through SECI’s e-Reverse auction. The Letter of Award (LOA) is expected to be issued within the timelines specified in the tender.
The project will be backed by a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI, with the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) set at 24 months from the effective date of the PPA.
Juniper Green Energy will leverage an integrated combination of solar, wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to deliver reliable and schedulable renewable electricity. This approach is becoming increasingly important as India’s power sector shifts towards renewable projects capable of providing firm power rather than relying solely on variable generation.
Under the tender requirements, the project will need to meet specified Delivered Firm Round-the-Clock (DFR) commitments, including a minimum of 90% during designated peak hours, 50–60% during solar hours and 70% during non-solar, non-peak hours.
The latest win further expands Juniper Green Energy’s growing portfolio of FDRE and RTC renewable energy projects and strengthens its position in India’s emerging firm renewable power segment.
