Kredence Materials Announces ₹100 Crore Investment in 40,000 TPA Hydrogen Peroxide Purification Facility
Vadodara-based Kredence Electronics Materials is strengthening India’s solar manufacturing supply chain with a new electronic-grade hydrogen peroxide purification facility, aimed at supporting the growing solar cell and semiconductor industries.
Kredence Electronics Materials has announced plans to establish a hydrogen peroxide purification facility with an annual capacity of approximately 40,000 metric tonnes, backed by a capital investment of ₹100 crore in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The expansion comes as India’s solar cell manufacturing capacity is projected to increase from around 35 GW to 100 GW by 2027–28, creating greater demand for high-purity process chemicals used in advanced solar cell production.
The new facility will feature advanced purification and quality-control capabilities, targeting impurity levels of approximately 0.1 parts per billion (ppb) for relevant parameters. The project is expected to strengthen domestic availability of electronic-grade hydrogen peroxide, reduce import dependence and improve supply-chain resilience.
Beyond increasing production capacity, Kredence is expanding its integrated wet-chemistry portfolio for Mono PERC, TOPCon and HJT solar cell technologies. Its product range includes hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, hydrogen peroxide and specialised process additives.
The company is also developing its solar cell additive business through technology partnerships, local manufacturing and application-level technical support to help reduce reliance on imported specialised chemicals.
In parallel, the investment will support Kredence’s ambitions in the semiconductor and advanced electronics sectors, where stringent purity and contamination-control requirements are critical.
With its focus on high-purity chemicals, local manufacturing and just-in-time supply, Kredence aims to support India’s expanding solar manufacturing ecosystem while strengthening the domestic supply chain for advanced electronics.
