REPLUS Receives ₹43 Crore Under Government’s Flagship RDI Scheme

India: REPLUS Engitech has been awarded ₹43 crore under the Government of India’s Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme to accelerate the development of advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technologies and strengthen indigenous energy storage innovation.


The funding will support research, product development, and manufacturing capabilities for next-generation energy storage solutions, reinforcing India’s vision of building a self-reliant and globally competitive clean energy ecosystem. The RDI Scheme is administered by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) through the Technology Development Board (TDB).


The announcement highlights the growing focus on domestic battery technology, innovation-led manufacturing, and scalable energy storage systems to support India’s renewable energy transition and long-term energy security.
