Suzlon Group has broken ground on 1,325 MW of new wind energy projects in Ananthapuramu, Andhra Pradesh, marking another major step in its long-standing partnership with the state. The projects are backed by an investment of approximately ₹10,500 crore and are expected to create around 1,600 direct and indirect jobs.
The development will further strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s clean-energy ecosystem while supporting local manufacturing and employment. Suzlon has also expanded operations at its Ananthapuramu blade manufacturing facility, which now operates with four production lines.
Suzlon has been associated with Andhra Pradesh for more than two decades and has catalysed around ₹15,500 crore of investment in the state. The company is currently executing approximately 1,600 MW of wind projects across the state. Its Ananthapuramu blade facility has an annual manufacturing capacity of 1,260 MW and supports more than 1,200 direct and indirect green jobs.
The company is also contributing to green-skilling initiatives, having trained around 12,000 young people, including 3,000 women, through skill-development programmes in Uravakonda and Vijayawada.
The latest projects reinforce Suzlon’s strategy of supporting large-scale renewable deployment while helping Andhra Pradesh strengthen its position as a major clean-energy and industrial hub.
