SWITCH Mobility, part of the Hinduja Group, has secured an order for 840 electric buses from Antony Road Transport Solutions under Phase I of the Government of India’s PM E-Drive scheme.
The order comprises 420 9-metre and 420 12-metre air-conditioned electric buses, which will be deployed with the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Transport Department, Delhi.
Antony Road Transport Solutions was selected as the Delhi operator under the CESL-managed PM E-Drive Phase I tender. The deployment agreements between SWITCH Mobility and Antony Road Transport Solutions have been formalised.
The buses are based on SWITCH Mobility’s EiV platform, featuring modular battery configurations, electric powertrains, regenerative braking and dual-gun fast charging. The fleet will also feature SWITCH iON for real-time vehicle monitoring, diagnostics and fleet management.
