Vikram Solar has entered into a Domestic Solar Cell Supply Agreement with Avaada Electro for the supply of 1 GW of domestically manufactured, ALMM-compliant N-Type G12R TOPCon solar cells.
Under the agreement, Avaada Electro will supply high-efficiency half-cut N-Type G12R TOPCon cells for Vikram Solar’s module manufacturing operations. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in September 2026.
The agreement is valued at approximately ₹1,250 crore and is expected to strengthen Vikram Solar’s domestic solar cell supply chain while supporting its growing participation in India’s Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) market.
The partnership also aligns with Vikram Solar’s backward-integration strategy. The company is developing a 9 GW high-efficiency solar cell manufacturing facility, which is scheduled for commissioning in Q4 FY27.
The agreement highlights the increasing role of domestic solar cell manufacturing and advanced N-Type TOPCon technology in India’s evolving solar manufacturing ecosystem.
