Waaree Energies Limited has secured a 2 GW solar module supply order from a leading domestic solar developer, adding further strength to the company’s growing module order pipeline.

The order was received on September 21, 2026, with supplies scheduled to be executed across FY2026-27 and FY2027-28. Waaree has not disclosed the identity of the customer or the financial value of the contract.

According to the company’s regulatory disclosure, the customer is a domestic entity and the transaction does not constitute a related-party transaction. Waaree also stated that its promoters and promoter group have no interest in the customer entity.

The latest contract comes amid a strong order position for Waaree Energies. As of Q1 FY27, the company had reported an overall order book of approximately ₹61,500 crore, including a module order book of around 25.2 GW.

Waaree had approximately 26 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity and 5.4 GW of cell manufacturing capacity. During Q1 FY27, the company’s module sales stood at around 3.6 GW.

The 2 GW order represents 2,000 MW of solar module capacity. However, details regarding the end-use projects, module technology, specific delivery schedule and project configuration have not been disclosed.

The order comes as India continues to expand utility-scale renewable energy capacity across standalone solar, hybrid, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and solar-plus-storage projects. Growing project development activity is also driving demand for domestically manufactured solar modules and cells.

For Waaree Energies, the latest order adds to its contracted module pipeline and provides further visibility for manufacturing and supply activity over the next two financial years.
