Agastya Energy Industries Pvt Ltd has announced a proposed ₹7,800 crore expansion into integrated solar manufacturing, with plans to establish 12 GW of ingot and wafer manufacturing capacity at Orvakal, Andhra Pradesh.
The ambitious expansion is aimed at strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem by integrating ingot, wafer, solar cell and module production within a connected manufacturing value chain.
The project is expected to increase domestic value addition, improve manufacturing efficiency and help reduce dependence on imported solar components.
According to the shared announcement, the company is building its clean-energy portfolio across solar manufacturing, EPC, operations and maintenance (O&M), and independent power generation, with a focus on TOPCon bifacial technology.
