Saatvik Green Energy, through its subsidiary Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL), Government of Odisha, to establish a 3.6 GW solar cell manufacturing facility at Gopalpur in Ganjam district.
The proposed Phase II facility marks a major expansion of Saatvik Solar’s manufacturing footprint in Odisha and is expected to strengthen the state’s growing renewable-energy manufacturing ecosystem.
The project is also expected to generate employment opportunities while supporting the development of a broader industrial ecosystem around solar manufacturing in the region.
Phase I Nears Commissioning
The proposed 3.6 GW cell facility will form part of Saatvik Solar’s broader integrated manufacturing development at Gopalpur.
The company’s Phase I cell and module manufacturing facility has already achieved key construction and installation milestones and is now moving toward commissioning.
Tool installation is progressing, with the facility expected to begin ramp-up shortly. This marks an important step toward operationalising Saatvik Solar’s integrated manufacturing capabilities in Odisha.
