ABB Announces $75 Million Investment to Expand Manufacturing and R&D in India
ABB has announced an additional investment of around $75 million in India during 2026 to expand its manufacturing and research and development capabilities across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nashik and Vadodara.
The investment will strengthen ABB’s local capabilities in electrification, automation and motion technologies while creating approximately 300 new skilled jobs across engineering, operations and research.
The expansion is expected to support India’s rapidly growing sectors, including renewable energy, data centres, metro rail and other critical infrastructure. By increasing its manufacturing and technology footprint, ABB aims to enhance local production, engineering capabilities and innovation in the country.
The investment comes as India continues to emerge as an important manufacturing and technology hub, with increasing demand for advanced electrification and automation solutions across industrial and infrastructure applications.
ABB’s expanded presence across key locations is expected to further strengthen its contribution to India’s industrial growth while supporting the development of skilled technical talent and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
