Vardhman Textiles to Acquire 26% Stake in Serentica for INR 41.48 Crore

Vardhman Textiles is set to acquire a 26% stake in Serentica Renewable Energy Limited for INR 41.48 crore, marking a strategic move to strengthen its participation in renewable energy and support its sustainability objectives.

The investment will provide Vardhman Textiles with a direct stake in Serentica, a renewable energy platform focused on developing and supplying clean power to industrial consumers. The transaction is expected to support Vardhman’s efforts to increase the use of renewable electricity across its operations.

The partnership comes as energy-intensive industries in India increasingly look to renewable power to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy security and meet long-term sustainability targets. For Vardhman Textiles, the investment aligns with the broader shift toward cleaner and more sustainable energy sources within the textile manufacturing sector.

Serentica has been developing large-scale renewable energy projects combining solar and wind power, with a focus on providing reliable clean electricity to commercial and industrial customers.

The proposed 26% stake acquisition also highlights the growing convergence between India’s manufacturing sector and renewable energy developers, as companies explore strategic investments and long-term clean power solutions.

The transaction is expected to further strengthen the collaboration between Vardhman Textiles and Serentica while contributing to the adoption of renewable energy in industrial operations.
