Adyant Renewables Signs 50 MW Wind PPA with SECI, Marking First C&I Power Purchase Agreement

Adyant Renewables Private Limited, a group company of Datta Power Infra Private Limited (Datta Infra), has signed a 50 MW wind power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), marking what the company describes as SECI’s first-ever Commercial and Industrial (C&I) power purchase agreement in India.

The agreement was signed on September 3, 2026, representing a significant development in the evolution of India’s C&I renewable energy market. While earlier initiatives in the segment have largely involved memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and term sheets, the latest agreement establishes a formal power purchase arrangement between the parties.

Through the collaboration, SECI aims to support the growing demand for clean and reliable electricity among C&I consumers. The initiative is expected to help commercial and industrial power users advance their decarbonisation efforts while exploring more sustainable and cost-effective renewable power procurement options.

Commenting on the development, Kapil Sharma, Head – Corporate Affairs at Datta Infra, said, “This is just the beginning. We take immense pride in being a first mover in SECI’s C&I renewable energy initiative and look forward to contributing to the growth of this emerging segment through sustainable energy solutions.”

The 50 MW wind project adds to the growing role of renewable power procurement models in meeting the energy requirements of India’s commercial and industrial sector. Formal PPAs can provide greater clarity around long-term renewable power supply while supporting corporate decarbonisation objectives.

Datta Infra said it looks forward to commissioning the project at the earliest and contributing to India’s clean energy transition. The company also acknowledged SECI and the C&I offtaker for their trust and collaboration in taking the initiative forward.
