AmpereHour Energy has partnered with US-based DC power optimisation company Ampt to expand the deployment of advanced DC-coupled battery energy storage solutions across India, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Under the partnership, AmpereHour Energy will distribute and service Ampt’s DC power management products, combining Ampt’s String Optimisers and Direct-to-Battery (D2B) technology with AmpereHour’s battery energy storage systems (BESS), energy management software and project execution capabilities.

The collaboration will target several applications, including utility-scale solar-plus-storage projects, data centres, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, solar repowering, green hydrogen projects and battery capacity augmentation.

Ampt’s D2B architecture connects solar photovoltaic arrays directly to the battery’s DC bus, potentially reducing capital expenditure while improving round-trip energy efficiency, system performance and reliability.

The integrated solution will also incorporate AmpereHour’s energy storage systems, DC recombiner and Energy Management System, featuring real-time control capabilities for performance optimisation, operational safety and risk management.

The partnership aims to deliver cost-optimised solar-plus-storage solutions that improve project returns and support reliable, dispatchable renewable power.

The collaboration reflects the growing focus on integrating solar generation, battery storage and intelligent energy management to accelerate the global clean energy transition.
