U-Solar Expands Beyond EPC with Integrated Clean Energy Solutions

U-Solar Clean Energy is strengthening its position in India’s renewable energy sector by transitioning from a conventional Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor to an integrated renewable energy management partner.

At IITMAA Sangam 2026 in Bengaluru, the company showcased its capabilities across building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), floating solar, ground-mounted solar projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

U-Solar has delivered more than 300 MW of renewable energy assets, with another 200 MW under execution. The company also reported that its turnover has grown from approximately ₹425 crore last year to more than ₹1,000 crore in the current fiscal year.

Led by Founder and CEO K. R. Harinarayan, U-Solar is focusing on customised, technology-driven solutions that combine on-site solar, off-site open access and battery storage to meet customers’ energy requirements.

Its project portfolio includes BIPV installations for commercial facilities and data centres, floating solar projects at Maithon Dam and Bhilai Steel Plant, and an island hybrid power project in Sri Lanka.

With an established presence in Sri Lanka and Nepal, U-Solar is also exploring expansion opportunities in the Middle East, aiming to deliver integrated decarbonisation solutions to industrial and commercial customers.

The company’s evolution reflects a broader shift in the renewable energy industry towards integrated clean energy solutions that combine generation, storage and energy management.
