Singapore-headquartered energy-as-a-service (EaaS) infrastructure platform August Energy and Indian energy-efficiency company Energeia have announced a USD 100 million partnership to finance and deliver energy-efficiency infrastructure projects across India.
The partnership will focus particularly on Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, enabling businesses to modernise energy-intensive infrastructure without significant upfront capital expenditure.
Under the collaboration, August Energy will provide institutional capital, techno-commercial structuring and business-development capabilities, while Energeia will contribute its expertise in energy auditing, engineering, technology deployment and on-ground execution.
The platform aims to support Indian businesses in reducing energy consumption, operating costs and carbon emissions, while accelerating the adoption of efficient energy infrastructure through an Energy-as-a-Service model. The initiative is expected to target energy-intensive sectors including pharmaceuticals, automotive, chemicals and data centres.
