Juniper Green Energy, through its subsidiary Juniper Nirjara Energy, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited for a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project under the SJVN FDRE-2 scheme.
The PPA was signed on August 26, 2026, at a tariff of ₹4.25 per unit. The project will integrate solar power with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to meet the required supply obligations.
Under the agreement, Juniper Green Energy will provide four hours of peak-hour supply with 90% monthly availability, along with the minimum annual CUF specified under the bid. The project is scheduled to achieve commercial operation within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA.
The project was awarded through the SJVN FDRE-2 tender, issued under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding guidelines. Juniper Green Energy had received the Letter of Award in February 2025.
Following this addition, Juniper Green Energy’s portfolio stands at approximately 11,216 MWp of renewable energy capacity, complemented by 8,989 MWh of BESS capacity, further strengthening its focus on integrated and dispatchable renewable power.
The project highlights the growing role of FDRE solutions in delivering renewable electricity during peak-demand periods while improving grid reliability and flexibility.
