GoodWe Completes 10 Years in India, Highlights Long-Term Solar System Performance

GoodWe has completed 10 years of operations in India, marking a decade of growth in one of the world’s fastest-expanding renewable energy markets. The company highlighted the long-term performance of its solar installations, with projects continuing to deliver energy savings years after commissioning.

As solar adoption grows across residential and commercial segments, reliability, product longevity, service support and return on investment have become increasingly important considerations for customers. GoodWe said its decade-long presence has also included experience supporting installations across different climatic and grid conditions, completing two warranty cycles in India.

One of the projects highlighted is a 10 kW solar installation at a 70-year-old theatre in Kamthi, Maharashtra. Installed around a decade ago to reduce rising electricity costs, the system recovered its initial investment in approximately five years through electricity savings. It has continued to deliver comparable generation over the following decade.

Another example comes from Haryana, where a 5 kW residential solar system equipped with a GoodWe inverter has been operating for more than eight years. The system has helped reduce the homeowner’s electricity bills by approximately 80%, with the initial investment recovered in around three years.

These installations demonstrate the importance of long-term system performance, with the value of solar extending well beyond the initial payback period.

Since entering India, GoodWe has expanded across the residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale segments, while strengthening its local service and support capabilities.

The company’s decade in India highlights how reliable solar technology can contribute to sustained energy savings and long-term value for both households and businesses.
