JSW MG Motor India has appointed Parth Jindal as the company’s new Chairman, effective immediately. The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors on August 31, 2026, as the automaker continues to strengthen its product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities and localisation strategy in India.
Jindal has been associated with JSW MG Motor India since the formation of its joint venture between JSW Group and SAIC Motor. During this period, he has been closely involved in shaping the company’s product strategy, manufacturing expansion and localisation programme, giving him an established understanding of the business and its growth priorities.
The leadership change comes at an important stage for JSW MG Motor India as the company looks to accelerate growth in the Indian automotive market, with a strong focus on electric and new-energy vehicles. The company is also working to expand its manufacturing footprint, strengthen its local supply chain and introduce new products to cater to evolving consumer demand.
Parth Jindal currently serves as Managing Director of JSW Cement and JSW Paints and Chairman of JSW Dulux. He is also a Director on the Board of JSW Energy, Founder of JSW Sports, and Chairman and Co-Owner of the Delhi Capitals.
JSW MG Motor India is a joint venture between JSW Group and SAIC Motor, combining JSW’s understanding of the Indian market with SAIC’s global automotive and technology capabilities. The company has been expanding its electric vehicle portfolio alongside investments in manufacturing and localisation.
