Juniper Green Energy has strengthened its renewable energy portfolio by commissioning approximately 167 MW of additional wind power capacity across five projects in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra since July 1, 2026. The latest additions have taken the company’s total operational renewable energy capacity to approximately 2,575 MWp (2.57 GWp).
The newly commissioned capacity comprises 37 wind turbines, including 27 turbines rated at 5 MW each and 10 turbines with a capacity of 3.15 MW each. The commissioning reflects Juniper Green Energy’s continued focus on scaling its wind portfolio alongside its existing solar and energy storage assets.
With the latest capacity addition, Juniper’s operational portfolio now consists of approximately 2,114 MWp of solar capacity, 461 MW of wind capacity and 500 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity.
The 167 MW commissioning also includes the complete 50 MW wind component of a 75 MW hybrid renewable energy project, developed through Juniper Green Beam Eight Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Juniper Green Energy. The final 5 MW wind turbine commissioned at the project site completed the wind component of the project.
Beyond its operational assets, Juniper Green Energy has built a broader renewable energy portfolio of more than 10 GWp along with over 4.5 GWh of BESS capacity. This portfolio includes operational, under-construction, contracted and awarded projects.
The latest commissioning highlights the increasing role of wind power in India’s renewable energy expansion, particularly as developers focus on diversified portfolios combining solar, wind and battery storage to deliver more reliable clean electricity.
With additional projects under development, Juniper Green Energy’s latest milestone further strengthens its position in India’s rapidly expanding utility-scale renewable energy market.
