BLive has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors to deploy up to 1,000 electric mini trucks across India, marking a significant step toward accelerating the electrification of last-mile and intra-city cargo transportation.
The partnership will be implemented through BLive PRIME, the company’s franchise-owned commercial EV fleet programme. The rollout will begin with the deployment of Tata Ace Pro EVs for enterprise logistics operations.
The electric mini trucks are expected to serve a range of commercial applications, including e-commerce, quick commerce, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, warehousing, third-party logistics and manufacturing. This will help businesses transition toward cleaner and potentially more efficient last-mile transportation solutions.
The collaboration comes as India’s commercial EV market continues to expand, with fleet operators and businesses increasingly looking for alternatives to conventional fuel-powered cargo vehicles. The deployment of electric mini trucks can help reduce tailpipe emissions while supporting the broader shift toward sustainable urban logistics.
For Tata Motors, the partnership strengthens the adoption of its electric commercial vehicle portfolio, while BLive gains an opportunity to scale its commercial EV mobility platform across multiple high-demand logistics segments.
The initiative also highlights the growing importance of electric cargo mobility in India’s clean transportation transition, particularly as e-commerce and last-mile delivery networks continue to expand.
