Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited has announced plans to procure 65.59 MW of renewable power from Gentari India under the group captive model. The portfolio will comprise 48 MW of wind power and 17.59 MW of solar power, supporting the company’s long-term captive energy requirements.
The company’s Board has approved the acquisition of a minimum 26% equity stake in three renewable energy special purpose vehicles (SPVs). The total proposed investment is up to ₹48.02 crore.
For the wind portfolio, Lloyds Metals will invest up to ₹29.66 crore in Amplus Green One Power, linked to a 36 MW wind project. It will also invest up to ₹9.89 crore in Amplus Energy One for a 12 MW wind project. Separate Wind Power Purchase Agreements will be executed for both projects.
For solar power, the company will invest up to ₹8.47 crore in Amplus Ceres Solar, linked to a 17.59 MW solar project, equivalent to 26.47 MWp, with power to be procured under a Solar PPA.
The proposed investments and associated PPAs remain subject to applicable regulatory approvals, including open-access requirements in Maharashtra. Lloyds Metals expects to complete the transactions by the end of FY27.
The move marks another step by the mining and metals manufacturer toward increasing renewable power consumption and securing cleaner, long-term energy supplies for its operations.
