NLC India Limited, through its wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), has invited bids for the outright purchase of 1,500 acres of private land in Tamil Nadu for developing solar photovoltaic projects.

The tender specifies a land requirement of 5 acres per MW, indicating potential development of around 300 MW of solar capacity based on the stated land norm. Bidders can offer multiple parcels, with each individual parcel required to have a minimum area of 500 acres.

Key Highlights

  • ☀️ Land requirement: 1,500 acres
  • 📍 Location: Tamil Nadu
  • ⚡ Indicative capacity: ~300 MW
  • 🏞️ Land model: Outright purchase
  • 📐 Land requirement: 5 acres/MW
  • 🏗️ Minimum parcel size: 500 acres
  • 🔌 Land parcels must be within 50 km of a 110 kV or higher STU substation
  • 🛣️ Direct road access or development of an approach road is required
  • 📅 Bid submission deadline: September 21, 2026
