Saatvik Solar Group Appoints Dr. Rakesh Kumar as EVP – Ancillary Business & Business Head – BESS
Saatvik Solar Group has appointed Dr. Rakesh Kumar as Executive Vice President – Ancillary Business and Business Head – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), strengthening its leadership team and focus on the rapidly growing energy storage segment.
Dr. Kumar brings extensive experience across battery energy storage systems, renewable energy, solar manufacturing, business development, sales, marketing and plant operations.
Prior to joining Saatvik Group, he served as Chief Executive Officer – Renewables at DDEV Plastiks Industries Limited, where he led a 5 GWh BESS business. His previous leadership experience includes roles at Kosol Energie, Vishakha Group (Renewables), Masdar Industrial Alternative Energy, SIPCHEM and Goldi Solar Pvt. Ltd.
He also has a strong technical and manufacturing background, with earlier roles at Aksh Optifibre Ltd., Euro Multivision Ltd. and Moser Baer Photo Voltaic Limited.
In his new role, Dr. Kumar will lead Saatvik Group’s ancillary business and BESS portfolio, as the company continues to expand its presence across renewable energy and energy storage.
