Suzlon Energy is planning to invest ₹550 crore in three new AI-powered wind blade manufacturing facilities across Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu by 2027, aiming to strengthen India’s domestic wind energy manufacturing ecosystem.

The proposed facilities will integrate artificial intelligence, automation and smart manufacturing technologies to improve production efficiency, enhance quality control and reinforce the domestic supply chain for wind energy infrastructure.

The expansion is also expected to generate around 15,000 direct and indirect job opportunities across manufacturing and related industries, creating potential employment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

Key Highlights

  • Investment: ₹550 crore
  • New facilities: Three wind blade manufacturing plants
  • Planned locations: Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
  • Target timeline: By 2027
  • Expected employment: 15,000 direct and indirect job opportunities

The planned investment highlights the growing role of advanced manufacturing, AI and automation in India’s renewable energy transition. By expanding domestic production capabilities, the proposed facilities could contribute to a stronger wind energy supply chain and support the country’s long-term clean energy ambitions.
