Vayona Energy has unveiled its Vayona 5.0/193 wind turbine at Windergy India 2026, marking the company’s entry into the 5 MW onshore wind turbine segment.

The turbine was unveiled by Hon’ble Shri Rajesh Kulhari, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, during the industry event.

Designed in Germany in collaboration with Aerovide GmbH and manufactured in India, the Vayona 5.0/193 has been engineered to maximise energy generation in low and ultra-low wind conditions across India.

The launch represents a significant expansion of Vayona Energy’s product portfolio, with a focus on improving the utilisation of available wind resources and creating new opportunities for wind energy development. The turbine is intended to help project developers enhance energy yield and improve the value generated from individual project sites.

The unveiling underscores Vayona Energy’s commitment to advancing wind energy technology through international engineering collaboration and domestic manufacturing.

With the introduction of its 5 MW platform, the company aims to contribute to India’s evolving wind energy landscape by addressing the requirements of sites with lower wind speeds.
