Trinity Cleantech is developing a mobile bioethanol-powered generator set with integrated EV charging, combining power generation and electric vehicle charging in a single platform designed for off-grid and remote applications.
The proposed system uses liquid bioethanol to generate electricity on demand, enabling it to supply general electrical power as well as support EV charging. The technology is being positioned as a potential alternative to conventional diesel-based generators, particularly in locations where grid connectivity is limited, unreliable or unavailable.
The mobile platform could find applications across construction sites, mining operations, industrial facilities, defence installations, logistics operations and disaster-response locations, where deploying separate power and charging infrastructure may be challenging.
By integrating power generation and EV charging into one mobile asset, the company aims to create a flexible energy solution that can move according to operational requirements. The development could also support additional use cases for India’s expanding bioethanol ecosystem.
Trinity Cleantech is also exploring a lease-based deployment model, which could allow organisations to access the technology without bearing the full upfront capital cost. Maintenance, monitoring and equipment management may also be offered through an operating model.
The Gen Set is currently under development, with the company working towards commercialisation as part of its broader clean-energy technology portfolio.
