Hero Future Energies has secured 120 MW of Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE-RTC) capacity in the latest auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a tariff of ₹5.25/kWh.
The award is part of SECI’s 1,000 MW FDRE-RTC tender, which aims to procure reliable renewable power from interstate-transmission-system (ISTS) connected projects integrated with energy storage systems.
Under the auction, Hero Solar Energy, the Hero Future Energies entity, secured 120 MW at the discovered L1 tariff of ₹5.25/kWh. Other successful bidders included EMIF II, Purvah Green Power, Resolven, Rays Power Infra, Hexa Climate and Juniper Green Energy.

The selected developers are required to establish ISTS-connected renewable-energy projects along with energy storage and the transmission network up to the delivery point. Land and connectivity are also part of the developers’ scope.
The tender sets specific demand-fulfilment requirements, including a minimum 90% fulfilment during peak hours, supporting SECI’s objective of procuring firm and reliable renewable power rather than intermittent generation alone.
The award further strengthens Hero Future Energies’ position in India’s growing FDRE, hybrid renewable energy and energy-storage market, as the country increasingly focuses on dependable clean power to support grid stability and renewable integration.
